1. Shipping & Delivery
All priority orders will be delivered by DPD, a signature will be required upon delivery and the carrier can deliver up to 7:00pm, fixed delivery times cannot be provided. Deliveries over 20Kg may incur further postal charges. If this is the case, we will contact you before processing your order. Delivery for products delivered with the IRL mainland is charged at a flat rate of €10. International Delivery may be possible please contact us for a quote. Delivery outside the IRL Mainland Orders being shipped outside the IRL mainland that weigh more than 2 kilos will incur additional shipping charges but you will be contacted via email before these charges are applied. Charges vary depending on location and the bulk of your order. International deliveries are done via An Post or UPS. If you are interested in purchasing a product please contact us for a quote. Woodworker.ie reserve the right to amend orders placed with incorrect delivery options without notice. Dispatch (does not inc. Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays) Goods ordered before 1pm will be dispatched from our warehouse that afternoon for delivery, subject to stock availability. Orders made after 1pm will be dispatched the following day. The three to five day delivery option is sent via An Post and cannot be chased with the post office until 3 weeks after posting. If you require your goods by a certain day we recommend using a guaranteed service. Christmas Delivery Times Orders purchased from 19th Nov. to 20th Dec. will be within the Christmas period and will be despatched to arrive before Christmas. All standard delivery policies still apply. We cannot guarantee that any orders purchased after the 20th Dec. will arrive before 25th Dec. Hardware Direct reserves the right to change the dates of the Christmas period from year to year, without notice. However, we will endeavor to tell you if changes are made, by posting the relevant information on our website. Extreme Weather In the event of extreme weather conditions or circumstances out of our control, we cannot be held responsible for your order not arriving within the time given. However we will make every effort for your order to get to you as soon as possible. Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays Unfortunately, deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays are not available. Please note that All orders placed after 12.30pm on Friday will not be dispatched until Monday (or Tuesday when a Bank Holiday falls on a Monday). In the event the item(s) are out of stock, you will be contacted and the goods will either be dispatched as soon as possible or an alternative item will be offered.
2. Returns
General Returns We try to supply only the highest quality products and we believe that you will be delighted with your choice from Woodworker.ie, However, if you are unhappy with the product in any way it can be returned to us following the steps outlined below. We aim to keep the process as simple as possible. We will accept returns up to 14 days after the date of dispatch outside of the Christmas period (see section below for Christmas returns). If you wish to return an item to us you must first obtain a returns number; you can do this by emailing us at woodworker.ie@gmail.com, we cannot accept any returned items without this prior authorization. The returns number must be clearly marked on the outside of the package sent back to us. Please send the item for return back promptly after you have received your returns number. Any items returned must be in the original condition that you received them from us with all packaging and tags intact. If you wish to exchange an item you have to cover the cost of the return postage and there will be an additional postal charge for the replacement item(s). If you are returning an item to us for a refund you must cover the cost of postage back to us. If you have received an item that is faulty, or has been sent by us incorrectly we will of course refund the cost of any postage due. Items returned in damaged packaging or without tags will be refunded minus 20% of the original purchase price. You will be responsible for the item(s) until it/they reach us. For your own protection, we suggest you obtain proof of postage. No refund can be given if goods are returned more than 14 days after invoice date. We regret we cannot give refunds for carriage on incorrect purchases. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please note, in the case of workwear and other textile items, where it states colours may vary, we do not pay for carriage to return items because the colour is not suitable. If in doubt please call us on 0871923872 between 1.00 PM and 5.00 PM Monday to Friday. Please note if you received Free Delivery on an order because you ordered over a certain threshold and you return an item for a refund which then takes you under the threshold we may deduct the cost of standard postage from your refund. Due to their nature DVD's, Books, Manuals and items ordered in especially cannot be returned unless faulty. Christmas Returns Policy During the Christmas period (19th Nov – 20th Dec) returns will be accepted up to 30 days after despatch for exchanges or credit notes.
3. Christmas Period
Christmas Delivery Times Orders purchased from 19th Nov. to 20th Dec. will be within the Christmas period and will be despatched to arrive before Christmas. All standard delivery policies still apply. We cannot guarantee that any orders purchased after the 20th Dec. will arrive before 25th Dec. Woodworker.ie reserves the right to change the dates of the Christmas period from year to year, without notice. Christmas Returns Policy During the Christmas period (19th Nov – 20th Dec) returns will be accepted up to 30 days after despatch for exchanges or credit notes.
4. Ordering Process & Payment
When ordering with Woodworker.ie we will endeavour to process and despatch your order within 1 working day. Where this is not possible you will be contacted either by phone or email so please provide us with your preferred contact details to save any delays. Ordering with us is safe, secure and easy but if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us. Please note that all products pictured are sold as seen unless otherwise stated. We accept the following credit cards Master Card, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro or Solo, via online payment and Paypal is available. Alternatively, you may phone your order through to us, Regrettably, we do not accept payment in postal order or cheque.
5. Special Orders
If you are placing a special order (i.e.: ordering a non stock Product), your order will be made specifically for you, just the way you want it, in accordance with the instructions and specifications you have given us. Before going ahead with the order, we will ask you to check over all the details to make sure you are happy. It is your responsibility to check that all details are correct. We do require payment in full at the time the order is taken and we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges on special orders, unless we have not fulfilled the order as it was requested. (Please note that delivery costs for certain products and other special orders are generally different to our standard costs, due to their bulky nature.) Most products that are shown as being out of stock can be ordered in so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re after something that’s showing as out of stock.
6. Promotional Codes and Discounts
We will, on occasion, supply promotional and/or discount codes via newsletters or by posting them on the Woodworker.ie website. These special offers will only apply to orders placed online and you will need to enter the code at the basket stage of the checkout in order to receive your discount. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer these discounts in retrospect, so if you would like to use an offer sent to you, you must enter the correct code at the checkout. There may be terms applied to certain offer codes, these terms will be published alongside the offer.
7. Secure Shopping Protecting Customers

While placing your order with us online, the information you give us is automatically transferred with ‘SSL encryption’. Customer data is only used for completion of orders and/or to contact you to verify your order, or for shipping information, etc. From time to time, on occasion, we may wish to contact you to inform you of special promotional packages taking place with Woodworker.ie or discount prices available to you in our online store. By submitting your information to us via your online transaction you will be consenting for us to use that information as set out in the details of this policy. Woodworker.ie reserves the right to change our privacy policy without due notice. However, if our privacy policy, or any other policy, is scheduled for amendment, Woodworker.ie will endeavour to inform you as quickly and efficiently as possible by posting revisions on this website. How do I check the status of my order?
If you would like to check the status of your order please click on the order tracking link at the bottom of any page.
How can I return an item if I don’t like it/it doesn’t fit/it’s faulty?
You have 14 days to return any unwanted item(s). Please contact us for a returns authorisation. Then you need to fill out a returns form which can be downloaded here and post the item(s) back to us with the completed returns form. We recommend you get proof of posting or insurance to cover your package against loss, especially if the contents is of a high value.
How can I contact someone for advice on a product & ordering?

We aim to respond to your email enquiries within 1 working day.
How do I add an item to an order?
If you wish to add an item to an order please contact us at your earliest convenience. If the order has not already been processed then we can add the item(s) to your order. If it has already been processed then you will have to place a new order either via the website or by calling us.
How do I cancel an order once it’s been placed?
Please contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not been processed then we will be able to cancel the order there and then. If the order has been processed and dispatched then unfortunately we cannot cancel the order but we can except it back for a full refund provided the goods are returned in the state that they were received.
Do you have a cut off time for orders?
Yes we do and it's 1pm, any orders placed before 1pm GMT (Monday to Friday) will be processed that day and any orders placed after 1pm GMT will be processed the following business day.
What's the latest I can place order for Christmas delivery?
The last posting date for Christmas using our Delivery within the IRL is 20/12/2009 so you need to get your orders to us by lunchtime 18/12/08. The last posting date for 48 hour delivery is 20/12/09.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept payments through PayPal. We also accept major debit/credit cards over the phone.
Funds are put aside in your account when you place an order with us. If for any reason your order is cancelled the funds should show as being available again within a few working days. If this doesn’t happen please do not hesitate to contact us.
What couriers do you use?
Depending on the destination, value and weight of your order it will be sent by either DPD, An post or another private courier service. You will be notified of the service once you place your order.
If I place an order over the weekend when can I expect to receive it?
If you place an order over the weekend then it will be dispatched the following Monday (where a bank holiday falls it will be dispatched on the next working day). The time delivery takes depends on the delivery option you have selected and also on stock availability.
Do you offer timed delivery?
At an extra cost we can provide timed deliveries. Please contact us with details of when & where you would like your order delivered and we will do our very best to help.
If I place an order and something is out of stock what happens?
If you order an item that is currently listed as out of stock it will dispatched as soon as the item is delivered to us (estimated time should be displayed on product page). If this is not the case one of our customer services team will contact you to let you know the details.
When do you take payment for my order?
Once your order is ready for dispatch it will be scanned just before it leaves us and payment will be taken.
What are your opening times?
Our website customer services department is open from 1pm to 5pm Monday – Friday excluding bank holidays.
What do I do if my order hasn’t arrived in the estimated time given?
Please wait until the recommended delivery time given has passed and then contact us, we will then do our utmost to track your order.
Is it safe to order online?
We use industry leading secure server technology that implements Secure Socket Layering (SSL) to protect your details and assist your shopping experience. SSL is the industry standard for encryption and enables millions of secure online transactions everyday. None of your credit card details are stored on our server and are processed by our selected payment partners. All of which ensure that your details are safe.
Once you have found a product that you would like to purchase please select the correct option that you would like from the drop down menu if applicable and then hit “Add to Cart”, this will add the item to your shopping cart. You can then continue shopping or select the “Checkout” option at the top right-hand corner of your page. This will then take you through a few easy steps where you will be prompted to fill in your details. You can checkout as a guest or create an account so it really couldn’t be easier.
Once you have filled in all your details and checked that they’re correct please confirm your order. Your order has now been placed.You will then receive an email advising you that the order has been received by us and quoting your order number. Please keep this email safe for future reference. Can I update my account details?
If you select the “My Account” option which is located at the top right-hand corner of any page you can edit any of your account information by selecting “Edit” in the relevant section.
How will I know if my order’s been dispatched?
Once your order is ready for dispatch it will be scanned just before it leaves us and you will be sent an automated email. I just placed an order and payment has been taken already,
I thought you said payment would not leave my account until the order was dispatched?
Once you complete your order with Woodworker.ie the funds for your order will be allocated in your account so it will show your available balance less the money for your order. Once the order is dispatched payment will then be taken from your account.
Do your prices include VAT?
All prices quoted on our website include VAT.
Can you deliver to my work address?
Yes we can, all you need to do is select the option at the checkout to have your order delivered to an alternate address and make sure you fill in your full work address.
